Continuous ridge ventilation, universal joint type
Continuous ridge ventilation is a frequently used system for ventilation in wide span houses. In every bay there are two rows of windows hinged to the ridge on the left and the right side. Each row of windows is operated by a rack and pinion system which in turn is driven by a torque tube. The torque tube is driven by a gear box. One gear motor can drive several gearboxes via a spur gear box and universal joint.
