Hatches of an air inlet system can be operated by either a cable drive or a rack and pinion drive.
With a rack and pinion drive, the gear motor drives a torque tube along the wall, this torque tube drives several rack and pinions which in turn opens and close the hatches.
With a cable or belt drive, the gear motor is equipped with a winch drum. The cable is on one side connected to a spring mechanism on the other side to the winch drum. By operating the gear motor the hatches will be closed or opened.
There are several systems for using curtains. For each system Huima Specials provides a proper drive system. Especially when mounted under to the roof, Huima Specials offers a good solution with easy accessible limit switch control.
